During the last years of the 19th century a large number of Italian immigrants settled in the Truckee Meadows and became successful ranchers and dairy farmers.
One of last remnants of this life style was the Capurro/Quilici Ranch on Longley Lane in the rural Reno area.
It was demolished to make way for an industrial site
