Theodore Winters was a 49’er who traveled to California in search of gold but ended up in Nevada searching for land. He was one of the pioneer Ranchers in Washoe Valley. He bought land from the Morons who had been called back to Utah by Brigham Young.
His Victorian home continues to grace the valley, beside the highway, overlooking Washoe Lake between Reno & Carson City.
